Biography
Kiki
was born into an entertainment family, and attended the California
Institute of the Arts, receiving her BFA in music. As a singer/keyboardist,
Kiki has accompanied dozens of artists in concert, video and
television (see credits). Her current
CD "Love Loud" made the list of Top 10 records of
2002 according to The Muse's Muse. Some may recognize her
as the singer/keyboardist in the band for the Wayne Brady
Show (KCAL) where she spent a season. Her songs have been
covered by sax artists Boney James and Eric Marienthal and
have been featured on The Young and the Restless, as well
as Another World. She recently finished her third year as
the vocal arranger/co-music director for Women Rock: Girls
and Guitars (LIFETIME). This year it features Dolly Parton,
Bonnie Raitt, Alison Krauss, Mya, Mandy Moore, Debbie Reynolds,
Ann Wilson and Kenny Loggins. Kiki has performed for the KKSF
Catch A Rising Star concert series at the Great American Music
Hall in San Francisco, twice at the KIFM Anniversary Party
in San Diego, California and the Maui Music Festival in Hawaii.
She has been the opening act for Peter Cetera, Christopher
Cross and Al Stewart. Her first CD, "Red", is (according
to Beth Lewis of Mac Report), "the kind of debut most
artists can only dream of creating", and Kikis
sophomore effort, "Love Loud", is "about as
close to perfect as any recording can get" says Les Reynolds-Indie
Music.com. Both CDs showcase her talent as a singer
and her tremendous gift for writing songs. She is currently
hard at work recording tunes for her third studio CD. Kiki
is also a co-founder of Music
Heals, a non profit organization that presents music and
art as a positive force for change by hosting benefit concerts
and bringing festivals and celebrations to the public. In
addition, Kiki is passionate about helping abandoned animals
and encourages everyone to spay and neuter their pets and
to support their local no-kill animal shelters. Kiki, who
is also an accomplished horse woman, lives with her husband
in the country with a menagerie of rescued horses, dogs and
cats where she is also a volunteer in training for the L.
A. County Emergency Equine Response Team.
